Funeral arrangements are being made for four teenagers who died when their car plunged into a creek in Will County.

The victims are 15-year-olds Micalah Sembach, Cody Carter; 14-year-old Matt Bailey, and 17-year-old Cheyenne Fender.

The teens were reported missing Monday night.

A bus driver spotted their overturned car in a creek near Wilmington Tuesday morning, 60 miles southwest of Chicago.

Authorities say there may have been standing water or ice on the road.

Investigators are reconstructing the accident.

They do not know who was driving, even though only one teen was old enough.

Under state law, she would have only been allowed one passenger because she was a new driver.

“Something we definitely cannot plan or prepare for.. The city of Wilmington suffered a great loss today,” Mayor Marty Orr said.

It’s not clear yet how their two-door Mitsubishi wound up in the creek, but there may have been standing water, even ice, on the road.”

Visitation for Cody Carter will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd. & Crematory, Braidwood Chapel, Saturday, March 16, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Funeral service will also be Saturday, March 16, at 1:00 p.m.
