Forecast: Winter just doesn’t want to end in Chicago

This is an archived article and the information in the article may be outdated. Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated.

Blustery west winds will add to an already chilly Tuesday with mainly cloudy skies, passing snow showers and temperatures topping out in the mid-30s.  The average high for this date is 45 degrees and most of Chicagoland will be about 10 degrees below that this afternoon.

Passing snow showers both early this morning and late this afternoon may leave a dusting in some locations.

The snow potential moves out tonight, but we’ll stay quite cold for Wednesday even with increasing amounts of sunshine.
