The dangers of sleepwalking
A new study found more than half of adult sleepwalkers may become violent and could injure themselves or their sleeping partners.
The study’s author says sleepwalking injuries happened 17 percent of the time. He also says some patients have jumped out windows, walked on the roof of the house, and others have fallen down stairs.
Sleepwalkers are also more likely to experience daytime sleepiness, fatigue, insomnia, symptoms of anxiety and depression and a lower quality of life.
