Cook County Commissioner William Beavers’s attorneys are upset that no African-American jurors were part of the 50-person pool to choose from. but the juror questioning has begun.
Beavers is accused of not paying taxes on campaign cash he used for personal expenses.
He has vowed to take the stand in his own defense saying he wants to be the one to tell the jury the truth.
