4 teens killed when car plunges into Will County creek

Four teenagers were killed when the vehicle they were riding in plunged into a creek in Will County.

The victims attended Wilmington High School, and were between 15 and 17 years old. Two of the victims were boys.

The Chicago Tribune says one of the victims was identified by her family as Micalah Sembach, 15, a freshman.

Their car was discovered in Forked Creek on Ballou Road at about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. A guard rail on the road appears to have been knocked down. It also appears the creek was swollen with melting snow, and the small bridge over the creek may have been underwater or at the very least icy and treacherous.

They left their homes Monday evening, and at about midnight, one of them was reported missing.

Is there not a law in place that does not allow teens at this age to be driving together in a car.
this age group should NEVER be together in a car for a "car ride". A tragedy in the making and
now sadly true. Parents need to pay more attention to whom there teens are going off with.
A horrific lesson learned to late!
