The rain on Sunday, combined with melting snow, caused flooding problems for some residents of suburban Dolton.
Several homeowners say it’s a problem that’s been going on for decades.
Four homes on E. 138th street, between Indiana and Milwaukee have flooded basements.
The residents say the city has ignored their pleas for years, and they claim, it’s not just rain or snow that’s flooding their homes, but also backed up sewage.
Calls from WGN-TV to the city of Dolton were not returned Monday.
