Flooding in Florida could lead to invasion of large mosquitoes

Florida is bracing for an invasion of bugs.

Take a look at this mosquito. It’s the size of a nickel.

It’s called a shaggy-haired gallanipper.

Unlike regular mosquitoes, which feed at dawn and dusk, these little beasts feed 24/7.

If Florida gets much flooding this spring, experts predict a bumper crop of these mosquitoes this summer.
