A firefighter in South Carolina makes a surprising discovery and rescue.

Brandon Poole and his family were driving down a road last week when they saw a box sitting next to the road.

Poole thought someone left some puppies in the box, but was shocked to find three black bear cubs.

They were only about a month old.

Wildlife officials took two of the cubs to a bear rescue center in Tennessee.

The third went to a nature park in Charleston.
