Investigators are looking for the cause of a deadly fire in the Oakland neighborhood on the South Side.
The fire broke out this morning in a home in the 4100 block of South Berkeley Avenue.
Firefighters found a woman on the second floor, suffering from smoke inhalation.
41-year-old Vershonda Marshall was taken to the University of Chicago Hospitals in very critical condition and later pronounced dead.
