Back in step for its 35th year, The South Side Irish parade marched along Western Ave in the rainy streets of the Beverly neighborhood Sunday.
It’s the second year for the parade to be back, after taking two years off because of drunk and unruly crowds. This year it was back to the basics with about 100 floats and no alcohol permitted outside along the route. Violators were threatened with a $ 500 to $1000 dollar fine and jail time.
