A student at Crystal Lake Central High School was in court Friday morning, facing felony charges for placing a hidden camera in the boys’ locker room.
17-year-old Luke Gildea’s bond was set at $15,000.
He is charged with unauthorized video recording, including recording minors.
A fellow student discovered the pinhole camera and reported it; school officials inspected the other locker rooms and restrooms and found no additional cameras.
The camera wasn’t equipped to transmit its images.
A student is in custody after a video recording device was found in the boys’ locker room of a suburban high school.

Did any one you simple minded pea brain jackhole's think, that maybe there were things being stolen from locker room (like the video of the TEACHER that a GIRL who did the same thing story was last week as she caught a TEACHER STEALING rummaging thru students property) so he thought he would catch a theif. That just might have been the motive!!!!! Even if he was looking for other things, he is a pubesent teen lookn at other teens… Not like he is a 60 yo teacher lookn at teens. first of all, do any of you know this young man? because i do and i personally believe it was poor judgement and a high school prank gone bad. he is a good kid that made a mistake and unfortunately he will have to live with it for the rest of his life.

i am not making excuses. i am saying he used poor judgement. i do not believe this was a sexually motivated crime, more to possibly harass other students. there is no reason for the others to name call and jump to conclusions.
