Hugo Chavez laid to rest; Reverend Jesse Jackson in Venezuela for services

Reverend Jesse Jackson is in Venezuela for the funeral of President Hugo Chavez, who died of cancer this week.

Jesse Jackson and ChavezReverend Jackson led a delegation of the Rainbow Push coalition to Caracas for today’s service.

Jackson says he got to know President Chavez during a visit to Venezuela in 2005.

He visited Chavez and addressed parliament on the anniversary of doctor Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream” speech.

During that trip Chavez also gave Jackson a Liberator award.
