Dawn Clark Netsch has passed away.
She had a long history in Illinois politics, serving as state Senator and as comptroller.
In 1994, she was the first woman to be nominated by a major political party to run for Governor of Illinois.
In January, she revealed that she was suffering from Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Dawn Clark Netsh was 86-years-old.
