History was made at the NFL’s New York and New Jersey regional combine on Sunday.
Lauren Silberman, 28, became the first woman to tryout for the NFL. She was trying out as a kicker.
Silberman is a former college athelete, having played soccer at the University of Wisconsin.
She has never played football.
Unfortunately, Silberman’s kick only carried 12-yards.
Silberman aggravated a leg injury during two kickoff attempts and then retired.
No woman had attended a regional combine before, but to do so, all that is required is a $275 fee.
