Chicago police are investigating whether robbery may have been the motive in the deadly shooting of an elderly man on the Far South Side.
It happened early Saturday morning as 72-year-old William Strickland was leaving his home in the 400 Block of East 95th Street, for a dialysis appointment.
Neighbors, family members and the driver of the PACE van scheduled to pickup Strickland heard the shots.
Those who knew Strickland say he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had lived in the neighborhood for nearly 30-years.
No arrests have been made.
