A suburban man is in jail, charged with felony stalking, after placing phony orders for pizzas to send to his ex-wife.
In one day, according to prosecutors, 47-year old Bryant Smith of Lake in the Hills ordered 18 pizzas from four different Schaumburg-area restaurants.
At the time, his estranged wife had an order of protection against him.
According to prosecutors, Smith placed the orders online and police were able to track the orders back to his computer.
Smith has been charged with aggravated stalking and is being held on $200,000 bond.

Yes jail, are you not familiar with stalking laws and why they were created? The fact that there was an active order of protection against him would also indicate some type of violence or threat of, making the victim feel in fear for her safety and or life. We didn't always have stalking laws on the books, thus making it easy for ex-husband, ex-boyfriends, ex-wives, ex-girlfriends to essentially harass, follow, call pretty much make someones life a living hell without consequence. There are also numerous cases of where stalking led to a murder so yes he belongs in jail, til he makes bond and is given a new court date where ultimately he will serve no time and the cycle can repeat itself. A death resulting from a DUI calls for jail time, if plea deals are struck, or a lawyer wins a case on a technicality well then that's a shame but let's be honest, there are plenty of people who belong in jail but aren't. Do some research on stalkig laws and see why they were created and how serious it is. Sadly this will get reduced or dismissed but being stalked is not exactly a good time.
