A polling place in Chicago Heights is closed due to a nearby warehouse fire.
The fire broke out Tuesday afternoon in a building across the street from Precinct 46 at the Golden Towers Senior City, 1706 East End Ave.
Several streets surrounding the area were blocked off while 125 firefighters battled the blaze
The election judges and Golden Tower residents were evacuated by the fire department due to smoke damage.
Voters in Precinct 46 are encouraged to vote at Precinct 6, Lincoln School, 1520 Center Ave., in Chicago Heights.
