Tuesday marks the one year anniversary of the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
A memorial of stuffed animals and crosses has been created to remember the teenager from Sanford, Florida.
His parents will attend a candlelight vigil tonight in New York city.
Martin’s death has become a racial issue and opened a debate about Florida’s Stand Your Ground law.
Community watch volunteer George Zimmerman says he shot Martin in self-defense.
Zimmerman’s trial is scheduled to begin in June.
