Pifas, the 3-year-old dog that was stuck on the ice of Lake Michigan Friday is now back in the care of his owner.
The dog remained at the Dept of Animal control over the weekend where it went through several tests and was neutered in accordance with city protocol.
Pifas was lost for nine days and at animal control for three days.
The dog’s owner, Nerijus Steponavicius said he only learned his dog was on the ice after his friends texted him that his dog was on the news.
