Woman, 18, killed in South Austin fire

A woman died overnight in a fire in the South Austin neighborhood.

Family members at the scene have identified the victim as 18-year-old Tamisha Davidson.

Firefighters were called to this two-story building at the intersection of Waller Avenue and Iowa Street early Thursday morning.

The top floor of the house was engulfed in flames.

The fire was too intense and fire crews were not able to go inside.

Davidson did not live in the building, but was staying with the family.

A teenage boy was also injured in the fire and was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
