A winter weather advisory remains in effect for the entire Chicago Metro area through Friday.
Snow began falling in the south suburbs earlier tonight.
An area of snow continue to spread north through the Chicago area and should reach Chicago’s south side by 10 p.m.. The snow will gradually become heavier during the night reaching peak intensity in the 3am-6am period as a weather disturbance passes through the area enhancing the snowfall.
