The Indiana woman who caged her stepson and pled guilty to his death was sentenced to 35 years in prison, according to the Post-Tribune.
47-year-old Kimberly Leona Kubina, plead guilty last May to 13-year-old Christian Choate’s death.
Her former husband, Riley Choate, 40, beat and abused the boy regularly, eventually taking his life in 2009.
Kubina helped burry the boy’s body in a shallow grave near their home in Gary in 2009.
Investigators discovered his body in 2011. The boy weighed less than 50 pounds when he died.
Riley Choate was sentenced to 80 years in prison last month.

Why not bury the both of them in a shallow grave. Tax dollars will be used to keep them fed and able to watch tv and read and in a room much larger than the cage they kept that poor boy in.
