An Arizona State researcher is doing biological experiments from NASA’s International Space Station (ISS).

She’s already made a discovery about salmonella spread she says will help develop a way to slow the bacteria here on earth.

The initiative using the ISS platform is aimed at researching the effects of microgravity on disease-causing organisms.
