On the south side of Chicago, a new St. Patrick’s Day Queen has been crowned.
24-year-old Bridget Fitzgerald of Western Springs won the honor today.
The queen and her court will represent the Chicago St. Patrick’s Day parade committee at several parades.
The Plumbers Union sponsors the contest.
85 young women competed for the title this year.
