Schaumburg police are no longer investigating an alleged carjacking on the near North Side.
The victim who was allegedly hijacked, along with her car, said she did not want to press charges or have any further involvement in the case. She then left the Schaumburg police station.
It is unknown what may have prompted her to do this.
The alleged hijacking started on the near North Side and ended at the Hilton Garden Inn in Schaumburg.
The woman reportedly left a bar and got into her car near Oak and LaSalle Streets, Friday morning.
Allegedly, a man pushed her into her car, tried to grab her purse and beat her. He then got in the car and drove off.
The man activated the car’s OnStar navigation system and police located them.
The alleged hijacker jumped out in Schaumburg on Woodfield Road.
The woman suffered minor facial injuries.

WHO CARES !!!! This stuff happens on a daily on the south and west side of Chicago. Can't believe that they put so must attention on this. Screw the Northside the stuff that happens on the SouthSide never makes the news.

What are yuo talking about, that's all you ever hear is about the south side on local news. Someone was shot, etc. Nothing ever good comes out of the Southside.

They have nothing better to do then ticket people for expired plates at Woodfield Mall and ticket for tinted windows. Oh and hang out at the Dunkin Donuts across the street. Thats why Schaumburg cops have the lazy reputation they do.
