A man charged with sexually attacking a female jogger on a lakefront bike path will appear in court Friday.
The attack happened along Lake Shore Drive in Hyde Park Wednesday afternoon.
Three men came to the 36-year-old woman’s rescue, tackling and holding the suspect until police arrived.
One of the men used his cell phone to take video of the suspect while he was lying on the ground.
Police officers on Chicago Park District detail showed up and handcuffed the man, identified by police as Brandon Williams, 24, of Calumet Park.
Williams was charged with criminal sexual abuse by force and was expected to appear in Cook County Bond Court on Friday.
In 2009, he pleaded guilty in a criminal sexual abuse case and is a registered sex offender.
Detectives are investigating whether he is responsible for other attacks, police said.
