A Toronto-based web site is raising eyebrows and revenues, with a racy new billboard at Clark and Ontario.
The site is ArrangementFinders.com.
With the words ”The best job is a b***w job” and an image of retired porn star Bree Olson, it promises to help people find not-so-traditional relationships.
Web site officials say they chose Chicago for the clever play on words because of the city’s high unemployment rate.
Just a few feet from the billboard, parents take their children to the Rainforest Café and the Rock ‘n Roll McDonald’s.
While some folks have complained about the billboard’s bawdiness, the website doubled its Chicago subscriber base on the very first day the billboard went up.

Let us focus on the last paragraph of this story. The tone of that statement is that "proof" of the billboard's "value" lies in the "successful" results garnered through it. We ought to be heavily grieved to see a "professional" journalist who is so detached from moral considerations that he holds higher regard for the persons commercializing copulative human activity than he holds for those who think such activity is to be kept private. And the "clincher" is that you, the journalist, judged this billboard "appropriate" because it generated a profit and not by anything related to its content and intent.

Nowhere in this small 'article' does anyone voice their opinion on whether or not the billboard is appropriate or not. It neutrally states that even though the billboard is located near businesses with a high volume of children, it still served its purpose as the webpage who created it gained notoriety and profit. Open your eyes or save your worrying for Texas.

Agree 100%. When I was a freshman in college I made the mistake of remarking to my Dad that so and so must be right because he made a lot of money. Forget what the issue was but remeber his reation. Almost took my head off for such a stoopid (intentional spelling) comment equating being right with making money.

As long as the billboard doesn't promote Christianity, family values or American values or tradition then profit is a good thing and whether or not it is appropriate for children to be exposed to is a decision best left up to rim job Rahm, of Man's Country, to decide.

Newsflash Lewis…Billboards are advertisements for businesses that have a goal of making money. You want to take the moral high ground, do so on your own dime. The beauty of this great nation lies in the fact that you have every right to put up a billboard next to this one and proudly proclaim your disdain. As for your comments about the journalist, you seem to forget that the journalist's job is to report the facts. Nowhere in the story does the journalist proclaim anything to be appropriate. I think the actual billboard itself is blurred. Adult readers know what the blurred word is, but kids under the age of 10 (well, it is Chicago, so maybe 8) wouldn't put 2+2 together. And as for the model/retired "actress", she's not really showing anything that cant be seen on your typical beer commercial.

I live in Chicago. This is not in keeping with "community standards." Even if we can't agree about what those ought to be, I'm pretty sure that we have no way of enforcing it. I agree that if the phrase "traditional marriage" had been used to promote something, it would be removed because of the protests. We should all protest against this kind of ad.
