Astronomers are keeping a close eye on a large asteroid that’s getting very close to earth.
The nearly 500-foot asteroid, DA14 will pass within 17,00 miles of earth on Friday.
That’s closer than weather and communications satellites that orbit earth.
The asteroid will definitely not hit earth, according to NASA.

With any luck it will hit Pebble Beach or DC. Either would be a good start.
