Tips for Working With Fondant

Don’t let it dry out. Keep it in a plastic bag or under plastic wrap when not working with it and in a plastic bag to store.

Keep cutters and cutting tools clean so the edges of the fondant have smooth clean cuts.

Use glycerine or shortening to revive fondant that is starting to dry out.

Sprinkle cornstarch on your workspace so your decorations don’t stick.

If you use a non-stick baking mat to roll out fondant, you can use less cornstarch that will dry out the fondant.
