Early voting begins Monday morning in Illinois’ 2nd Congressional District special primaries.
Voting will continue through February 23.
The primaries will then be held on February 26.
The seat became open after the resignation of Jesse Jackson Jr. in November.
The resignation came after he took medical leave last June, for bi-polar disorder.
Jackson has reportedly agreed to a plea deal with federal prosecutors who were investigating him for misusing campaign funds.
Details of the plea deal were not released, but it could include jail time.
