2 questioned in death of Hadiya Pendleton

Chicago police are questioning two people for the murder of 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton.

Two men were pulled over near 67th and South Chicago, early Sunday.

Law enforcement sources tell the Tribune they are gang members, one of whom has a previous weapons conviction.

The men are said to be 18-years-old and 20-years-old.

The Sun-Times reports witnesses were brought into the station yesterday to try and identify the men in a lineup.

Mayor Emanuel personally called Pendleton’s parents with the news.

They are waiting until charges are filed before speaking publicly.

The city needs to track these gang criminals. Put a parole ankle bracelet on every known or ever- arrested gang member. Treat the gang member like pedophiles because they are killing our kids. Track them wherever the roam. Help the police and the communities where they reside, and track them like the gun criminals they are.

Are you serious Chicago? Increasing the penalty for felon with a firearm from 2 to 3 years @ 85%. Get serious, 10 years @ 85% might deter some._

Greater sentences , mandatory minimums, truth in sentencing …..Hey that should work pretty good for this war on violent crimes…. I mean look how great those policies and actions did in ridding the inner cities throughout the nation of drugs !….. Not so much !
