1 injured after police chase on South Side

A police chase ended in a crash when the driver tried to run down a police officer.

The officer started chasing the speeding car at 79th and Ashland, just before midnight Monday.

The chase finally ended at 45th and Pulaski, when the fleeing car crashed into two other vehicles.

A woman was injured and taken to the hospital.

The driver was arrested.
