A suburban commuter bus made an unscheduled stop on the lawn of a home Friday morning, after it was hit by a snow plow.
The accident happened around 6 a.m. at the corner of Glenview Rd. and Spruce St. in Glenview.
Officials say a snow plow driver with the Glenview Park District and ran a stop sign and clipped a Pace Bus.
The bus just missed hitting a tree and came to rest just feet from a single-story home.
The snow plow hit an Audi before running up on the lawn of another home.
The bus driver, a passenger and the driver of the Audi suffered minor injuries, police said.
The snow plow driver was ticketed for disobeying a stop sign.

we do appreciate all the hard work our pw departments do when the snow comes but they need to be aware that they must obey laws also which include speeding and running stop signs they dont need to go 40 miles an hour down our side streets to clear the snow.

Not exactly true, rules of the road states that a service vehicle with flashing lights has the right of way. And with the heart attack snow today you really need to roll to push the heavy snow.
The report says it was a plow, but not that it was “plowing” at the time. I don’t know about glenview but where I live the park district doesn’t plow the streets , only park dist parking lots. Maybe it was driving between 2 parks to plow there lots. Generally a service vehicle with flashing lights operating has the right of way, plows, tow trucks, road maintenance vehicles …
