Child welfare officials questioned a couple from the West Town neighborhood in a case of severe child abuse.
A 22-year-old woman reportedly told police, she bit her 8-month-old son on the legs and arm and scalded him with hot water at their home near Grand and Western.
She neglected her 3-year-old daughter so badly the girl lost weight, and some of her hair fell out.
The kids are in the custody of DCFS while authorities decide whether to charge the mother and her boyfriend.

dam!! people like that need to be put away and i hope find lovein person to care for the babies, please dcfs donot return those babies back!!
