Chicago billionaire Penny Pritzker is a leading candidate to serve as Commerce secretary in the Obama administration, according to sources cited by the Chicago Tribune.

Pritzker, who with her family owns Hyatt Hotels Corp., is a top Obama fundraiser and ran his 2008 campaign fundraising operation.

A senior administration official told the Tribune they have made no decision and no announcement is imminent.

Forbes magazine ranked Pritzker at #719 on its list of the world’s top billionaires.
