Hasbro has been tallying votes to see which Monopoly piece will be retired and which one will be added and the cat is finally out of the bag — or, into the bag.
The cat statuette received 31 percent of the vote and will be added into the standard set of Monopoly game pieces.
It beat out a diamond ring, a toy robot, a guitar and a helicopter for the spot.
The cat will be replacing the iron, which had only 8 percent of voters behind it.
