Wrigley Field is turning 100 years old during the 2014 season, and to celebrate, the Chicago Cubs are inviting their fans to help create a commemorative logo.
In addition to being used on all marketing materials surrounding the 100th anniversary, the winning design could become even more visible by being placed on the team’s home jerseys, according to Cubs sources; although, the MLB will still have to officially weigh in for anything to be placed on a uniform.
Fan must submit their entry by February 28, 2013. A group of Cubs employees will narrow the submissions down to the finalists.
Then, fans can visit the team’s website and vote for their favorite, with the winner being announced at an unspecified home game later this summer.
The winner will get a chance to travel to Chicago to attend a pregame ceremony to unveil the logo at Wrigley Field this season. The package includes two airplane tickets, lodging, two tickets to the game and a personalized Cubs jersey.
