Three people were killed in a car accident on Chicago’s West Side.
The crash happened at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Police say the driver of a red Jeep lost control on 31st Street near Western. The SUV appears to have hit the curb, then a street light, before flipping over and crushing the roof.
Firefighters had to cut the victims from the SUV.
Philip Barnes, 46, Yvonne Tobias, 57, and Leantwana Roseburr, 40, all residents of the West Side, were pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital.
No word yet on the cause of the accident.

Probably not high but speeding way over the limit for the driver to lose control of the vehicle. Yes, people lost their lives, but let their deaths be a lesson for us to drive with caution and focus on the road.

My thoughts and prayers are with the families at this time. So sad. Also sad how many will speculate when they really do not know all the facts. We knew one of the victims. A LONG TIME family friend. R I P Phillip.

The driver was my little sister's father and he was not drunk nor high. He was a great man, doing something great for someone else and this happened. May they rest in peace and can you commenters keep my baby sister in your prayers.

Phillip Barnes may you R.I.P also may the young ladies who also lost their life's R.I.P as for those pointing fingers and judging on whether someone was drinking or smoking should be out of the question ….. examiners didn't find alcohol nor drugs to be a factor so please can we honor that and stop stereotyping….we have 3 life's lost….so please let's pray with the family and pray for the family. Guys….please….these people have loss their lives here. Does it really matter how it happen. Three of GOD children are gone. We all don't really know how it happen, but what I can tell you is that….We are not promise tomorrow so just tell the people you are close to how much u care and love them. People will say hurtful things and make horrible comments, just remember where your higher being is…RIP You will get your wings soon….
