Skokie police are expecting to announce charges in a string of hair salon robberies at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
A suspect was taken into custody Monday and detectives have 72 hours to bring down charges.
Police in Chicago, along with several other suburbs, are working together to nail down the case.
More than a dozen hair salons in Chicago and outlying suburbs were struck since December.
In each case, a gunman entered the shop, pulled out a gun and demanded cash. Surveillance video has proven helpful in this case.
Right now, police in Skokie are conducting a series of lineups to complete their investigation.
