Accused ex-cop free on bond, facing theft charge

A former Schaumburg police officer posted bail after he and two former colleagues were formally charged with stealing from drug dealers, then selling their drugs.

Matthew Hudak posted $35,000 cash Monday evening, just hours after pleading not guilty.

John Cichy and Terrance O’Brien also pleaded not guilty.

Police say a sting operation captured the men on camera, stealing from a storage locker they believed was rented by an out-of-town drug dealer.

You have spoken the truth on that one. They were more or less drug dealers themselves, and cops no less. You never know who to trust.

only thing the cops did wrong was to resell the drugs.

Death penalty should be given to public officials who betray the public trust.
