A suspect in the recent wave of hair salon robberies is now in custody at the Skokie Police Department.
Police will only say the male suspect, “is currently being questioned” in their multi-jurisdictional investigation.

Serial salon robber
A man suspected of robbing more than a half dozen suburban hair salons hit another location.
He has struck salons in Chicago, Niles, Morton Grove, Glen Ellyn, Bensenville and Lombard.
Police say in all incidents the man showed employees a handgun and demanded cash, making off with an undetermined amount of money.

10 to 1 odds he is currently on probation or parole for previous crimes that would have him sitting in prison anywhere other than Illinois.
