Beware of fraud when it comes to the flu!

As illness rises, so too does the risk you will fall prey to scammers claiming to have the power to ward off the flu and make you feel better.

The Food and Drug Administration warns that fraudulent products typically carry catch phrases like: Promising to boost natural immunity, preventing flu altogether, speeding recovery and acting as an alternative to the flu vaccine.

Health experts say there is no alternative to the flu shot and no real way to fight the virus except through anti-viral medications.
