Dog days of winter: Cold weather escapes for your canine

You see all of the cold weather stories on the news, and almost all of them are focused on people. But what about your four legged friend at home?

Despite the coats they were born with, many dogs don’t particularly enjoy zero-degree weather. It means shorter time spent outdoors and more time shut in the house.

On tonight’s WGN News, we went to a few places that offer an indoor break for your dog. They are…

The Barking Lot | 2442 W. Irving Park | 773-583-0065 | barkinglotinc.com | Open play Sat 4-6pm, $10

Soggy Paws | Various Locations | 312-546-4008 | soggypaws.com | $18 self-service wash

But I know that’s only a TINY sampling of all there is to do with your dog indoors. If you have a suggestion of a great cold weather escape for the pooch, leave it in the comments below, or let me know about it on Twitter or Facebook.
