One person is dead after a 3-alarm fire in South Shore, Tuesday morning.
A fire broke out just before 9 a.m. inĀ a high rise located at 6730 South Shore Drive.
Chicago Fire Department says the fire broke out on the 8th floor and was quickly upgraded to a 3-alarm fire and a Plan 2, which calls for 10 ambulances.
Three people were taken to area hospitals in critical condition, one person has been confirmed dead, according to the medical examiner.
The fire has been struck.
