Vandals damage Harold Washington statue

Chicago detectives are looking for help solving a crime at the Harold Washington Cultural Center.

Police say a suspect or suspects damaged the front panel of the Harold Washington statue.

It happened last night.

Police are asking residents near the 4700 block of South Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr to report any suspicious action they may have witnessed related to the crime.

If you have information, police want to hear from you.

    Was there a brass or bronze plaque attached and stolen? Who writes this stuff, I now know less than before I read this. Or is it a big secret? Check the recycling yard?. Attention all cars be on the lookout for several individual who vandalized a statue, we would tell you more but that is need to know.
