Former U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald is getting a new job.
Governor Quinn has named Fitzgerald to the University Of Illinois Board Of Trustees.
Fitzgerald served more than a decade as the federal prosecutor for Northern Illinois.
He won corruption convictions against Quinn’s two predecessors, Rod Blagojevich and George Ryan.
Fitzgerald is now back in private practice.
The U of I board is expected to confirm his appointment next week.
