Sometimes the crooks make it too darn easy.
In Porter County, Indiana, a man walked into a supermarket, filled out a job application with his name, address, and social security number, then dropped it off at the store’s courtesy booth.
Nobody was manning the booth at the time, but there was a donation container for a local homeless shelter sitting on the counter, which he took, leaving the application behind.
The incident was caught on surveillance video.
The 23-year-old South Haven man was quickly identified as a regular customer and police asked for an arrest warrant charging him with felony theft.
