Cook County Juvenile Court Judge Carl Anthony Walker has ordered south side rapper Keith “Chief Keef” Cozart to remain in custody, ruling he violated his probation.
Pitchfork media interviewed the rapper six months ago holding a rifle at a gun range in New York. Judge Walker ruled Tuesday that this violated his probation for a previous gun conviction.
The 17-year old will be held until he is sentenced on Thursday.
The 17-year-old South Side rapper Chief Keef, whose real name is Keith Cozart, was sentenced to probation last January after pointing a gun at a Chicago police officer in 2011.
Most recently, he was found guilty of violating his probation and sentenced to 60 days in a juvenile facility

People stay expressing negative opinions about this lil boy because of how he live and the fact that he's almost big in the music industry. The fact that shorty has done more than 50% of the rappers in the world (even though his music aint that great) people should respect him for trying and giving effort. His music aint the most positive for youth but it is rare that music have positive messages. I dislike the way the media portray Keef because i know where he come from. He's one of the few guys that will ever see money legally. They should be happy he at a gun range and not on the east side shooting.

Looks like any other banger that will step into a situation, not emerge and leave no imprint on history. As a LEGAL firearms owner, I didn’t get much past the" previous gun conviction" before I took an immediate dislike to the individual. Legal gun owners perceive these types of felons to be the enemy, the single biggest threat to our constitutional freedoms.

We talking bout a lil boy thats been poor his whole life, was in the streets more than at home, never finished school, and gangbang like crazy. What do you expect from him? I can say from what I see he's doing a hell of a lot better than he would if he never made it. He would be locked up for shooting at someone instead of at the range or kicking in doors robbing people like the rest of the dudes from his hood.
