Two people were hospitalized this afternoon, victims of a fire in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.
Firefighters were called to the apartment fire in the 1800 block of North Humboldt Blvd around 2:15.
The fire was quickly put out, but two women, ages 52 and 69 were taken to Norwegian American Hospital, in fair condition, for smoke inhalation.
