A federal jury finds a convicted bank robber guilty of escaping and going on a crime spree in 2009.
Robert Maday escaped police custody, robbed the same bank he’d robbed before, and carjacked 2 women.
His run from the law triggered a 27-hour man hunt through the northwest suburbs.
The high-speed chase ended when he crashed his getaway car.
Prosecutors say he’s a career criminal, who’s a legend in his own mind. His lawyer says Maday likely faces life in prison combining his prior convictions and with these latest convictions for escape, robbery and gun possession.
